His way to bless

l-r Kaleb, Breeann, Lyddia, & Jahanna

Y'know I'm finally realizing that Brad has his own way of spending time with the kids and blessing them as well. I have a skewed view of how things are supposed to be and I guess thats how I put God in a box. And since God is entirely outside the box, you'd think I would've learned that by now. I'm definitely humbled everytime, God has a special way of doing that to me! Last night when all was calm after a semi hectic day, Brad decided to wake Lyddia up at 10pm. I thought he must have been kidding but he wasn't. You see there was one more strawberry ice cream cone and Brad wanted to spend some quality time with Lyddia. It's amazing what I can see when I'm not talking and trying to analyze everything Brad does! So anyway, as Brad carried Lyddia to the couch, she curled up as if to try to go back to sleep. Brad presented Lyddia with her icecream cone. It didn't take long before she grabbed that icecream and raised from the dead! She took her time enjoying every morsel. And after she was done, Brad called her over to snuggle with him and then he asked her if she would like a lollipop! I seriously thought he had to have been smoking his breakfast! I watched as Brad just filled with delight to bring such joy to his daughter. And it made me realized how God loves us soooo much. He is delighted to bless us with the unimaginable, the impossible, the unthinkable, whether we deserve it or not. I still can't wrap my mind around Him but I'm glad. I can question why God chooses to bless those who love him and those who don't and know that it will never make sense to me. But I'm comforted in knowing that God knows what is best for each of His children and I can rest with the way He chooses to bless.

Just today I was grumpy and thinking that after 27 years of marriage my husband will never change the things I don't like about him. Thank you for reminding me that the things I love about him have not changed either. Praise God!

Can I just say I am very impressed with your computer skills. This is my 2nd official blog entry. You have pics and everything. I still hand my daughter my cell when I want it to do something different. I tell her what I'd like my phone to do and ask her to take care of it.

I have learned that if my husband shooting a nerf bullet at some so it sticks to his forehead is quality time between the 2 of them, so be it. My son knows to go to my husband for that. When my son needs quiet time with a book, he comes to me. The flip sode of that is when my son wants to do something wacko, I tell him that's a daddy thing.
